On May 2005, PREANSA, a Chilean company (part of a leading construction group in Spain) which designs, produces and assembles beams for bridges and prefabricated concrete buildings, was on the eye of the hurricane due to the collapse of a bridge, as different actors and the media speculated that the collapse could have been caused by the passing of concrete beams on heavy trucks belonging to PREANSA. The company was participating intensely in the building of new expressways in Chile, thus, it had to use day by day many bridges, the one which collapsed also.
PREANSA’s CEO contacted Jankelevich & Asociados (J&A) after the crisis was launched.
In 2003, Claro & Associates and the ANFP (Chilean Professional Soccer Association) purchaseD the rights for TV transmission of the Chilean Soccer Championship. CDF began to operate and informed the TV channels about the situation. TV channels decided to act as a solid block and did not accept the obligation to pay this service. Open television channels protested, appealing to the right of information and threatened with legal actions. The excuse was that "they did not want to deprive soccer to all the Chileans”. That was the beginning of what was called “the goals war”. CDF's CEO contacted Jankelevich & Asociados (J&A) after the crisis was launched.
